My Weekly Pull [103] & Can't Wait Wednesday [73]

My Weekly Pull is something I do every Wednesday to show which comics I had pulled for me that week! If you're into comics, or you're looking to start, please join me! If you decide to do your own post, there's a link-up at the bottom. I would love to stop by and check it out!

Daredevil #16 by Chip Zdarsky, Jorge Fornes, Julian Tedesco
Miles Morales Spider-Man #14 by Saladin Ahmed, Javier Garron
Hawkeye Freefall #1 by Matthew Rosenberg, Otto Schmidt, Kim Jacinto

Tarot #1 by Alan Davis, Paul Renaud
Star Wars #1 by Charles Soule, Jesus Saiz, R.B. Silva

Jacob's comics for the week!
Doctor Doom #4 by Christopher Cantwell, Salvador Larroca, Tomm Coker
Punisher Soviet #3 by Garth Ennis, Jacen Burrows, Paolo Rivera
Spider-Man: Venom Double Trouble #3 by Mariko Tamaki, Gurihiru
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Urban Legends #20 by Gary Carlson, Frank Fosco
Transformers #15 by Brian Ruckley, Anna Malkova, Bethany McGuire-Smith

If you didn't believe me when I said this Daredevil series was hot πŸ”₯ (Matt specifically), just look at this week's cover! Woof! I am totally here for Matt and Elektra getting their groove thang on.

Miles Morales is phenomenal. Read it. πŸ•ΈπŸ•·

A new Hawkeye comic! πŸΉ I've read some of Rosenberg's work before, and I'm curious how he'll write Clint Barton. I believe he was previously writing Punisher, and Frank Castle πŸ”« is someone that kills very meticulously and without hesitation. Hawkeye has a drastically different personality (he makes ridiculous arrows that have no purpose, like a USB arrow), so it will be interesting to see how he's portrayed.

I have no idea what Tarot is supposed to be about, but it looks interesting! Worth a shot, right?

Charles Soule and Star Wars... 🎡 these are a few of my favorite things!

Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings, that highlights upcoming releases that we're anticipating and excited to read. It's a spinoff of the feature Waiting on Wednesday that was hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

Spark and the League of Ursus
by Robert Repino
Expected publication: April 21st 2019
Synopsis (via Goodreads): Toy Story meets Stranger Things in this epic tale of warrior teddy bears and the children they protect.

Spark is not your average teddy bear. She’s soft and cuddly, sure, but she’s also a fierce warrior. At night she fulfills her sacred duty: to protect the household from monsters. But Spark’s owner Loretta is growing up and thinks she doesn’t need her old teddy anymore.

When a monster unlike any other descends on the quiet home, everything changes. Children are going missing, and the monster wants Loretta next. Only Spark can stop it. She must call upon the ancient League of Ursus—a secret alliance of teddy bears who are pledged to protect their human friends. Together with an Amazon-princess doll and a timid sock monkey, the bears are all that stands between our world and the one that lies beneath. It will be a heroic chapter in the history of the League . . . if the bears live to tell the tale.

If this book is anything like its synopsis, I'm going to have a blast reading it to my monsters! Toy Story and Stranger Things?? That's setting a high bar!
