Review Policy

I do not review books or comics professionally, it's simply for pleasure. I hope to help others discover something magical and enjoyable.
  • The acceptance of a book does not automatically mean it will get a review. "If you don't have something nice to say..."
  • Honesty goes a long way with readers and followers, and I will always be truthful in my reviews. I will never cater to the wishes and expectations of others. If anything, I'm too blunt.
I am currently accepting YA, NA (there needs to be more of this), Adult Romance, Women's Fiction, Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, Contemporary, MG, Children's, some Science Fiction, and occasionally Suspense and Murder Mystery books. I love most things Paranormal! If your book does not fall into any of these categories, it needs to be something unique or hilarious.
  • I prefer to have a physical copy of a book - it's just easier that way.
  • All reviews will be posted here on this blog, Goodreads, Amazon and B&N (if requested).
  • Please send review requests to doyoudogear(at)gmail(dot)com and I will try to respond within 24 hours.
Thank you! Happy reading!

Disclosure: All books are purchased by me, borrowed from my local library, or gifted to me by lovely and generous authors or their publishers. In the past I have donated ARCs to local schools and libraries, or given them away in giveaways with permission from the author/publisher. Edit: I now have a Little Free Library that I use frequently for unwanted ARCs and other review books.

Giveaway Policy
  1. You must be at least 13 years of age or older. No young grasshoppers, please. I cannot legally obtain information from anyone under that age. If you lie, there is no escaping Thor's lightning.
  2. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited by law.
  3. Winners will be given 48 hours to respond via email. If I do not receive a response during that time, I reserve the right to select another winner.
  4. I will use USPS media mail to ship packages, and I will provide tracking information. However, I am not responsible for lost or damaged items. If you want to help, try praying to Hermes.
  5. Winning will depend entirely upon how many entries there are. I will use Rafflecopter or Random.org to select a winner.
  6. By entering a giveaway, or accepting a prize, you agree to receive a new or used book with little or no retail value. You also agree to not hold me, an author, or a publisher responsible if you are impacted negatively in any way.
  7. Please play nice and be honest.
Rules may be modified as needed or necessary.
