Cover Reveal for Katie McGarry’s Only a Breath Apart!

“Gritty and real, Only a Breath Apart is a story of hope conjured from pain, strength drawn from innocence, and love earned from self-respect. Beautiful, poignant, and fierce.”
―Kristen Simmons, critically acclaimed author of the Article 5 series

About ONLY A BREATH APART:

Jesse dreams of working the land that’s been in his family forever. But he’s cursed to lose everything he loves most.

Scarlett is desperate to escape her “charmed” life. But leaving a small town is easier said than done.

Despite their history of heartbreak, when Jesse sees a way they can work together to each get what they want, Scarlett can’t say no. Each midnight meeting between Jesse and Scarlett will push them to confront their secrets and their feelings for each other.

Would you dare to defy destiny? Are our destinies written in stone? Do we become nothing more than the self-fulfilling prophesies of other people's opinions? Or can we dare to become who we believe we were born to be?
“A gorgeous, heartfelt journey of redemption and love” (Wendy Higgins), ONLY A BREATH APART is a young adult contemporary novel from critically acclaimed Katie McGarry. “Haunting, authentic, and ultimately hopeful” (Tammara Webber), ONLY A BREATH APART will be available on all retailers on January 22, 2019!

    1. Realistically, laying in the grass makes you itchy, haha! I think they should be laying on a blanket, but for the sake of a gorgeous cover--this does the trick. I also really like the dress she's wearing. <3

    1. I'm sorry Say You'll Remember Me didn't work for you! I enjoyed it and thought the author did a good job of conveying some of the issues we see in society today. People are often bullied into admitting to crimes they didn't commit, especially teenagers and kids, and then their lives are forever changed by that moment. They don't realize how admitting to something they didn't do can have lasting consequences throughout the rest of their lives. It's also common for them to be assigned an attorney that's already slammed with cases and cannot devote the time necessary to each induvial case.

Maybe this one will be a better fit for you! I hope so, because that cover is lovely!

    1. I've read the first three books in that series, I think. It's been ages, so I'm having trouble remembering exactly... and I think there were four books total... or five? I need to go back and re-read that one and finish the ones I never started.

    1. The synopsis leaves you with a lot of questions! Why is he cursed? Why was charmed in parenthesis? I cannot wait to find out!

    1. I need to catch up on some of her other books, like the Thunder Road series, and I hope to get to them sooner rather than later. What has been your favorite book by her so far? I seem to always start a series and never finish it.

    2. Still catching up... I can't believe how far behind I am.

It would be sooo hard for me to pick a favorite by Katie McGarry. I *seriously* love her books. In almost every book I feel so deeply for her characters and get brought to tears a lot. I remember when I was reading Breaking the Rules and tweeting Katie that I was sobbing and Echo and Noah were breaking my heart. She tweeted back that they were going to be okay. LOL

In the Pushing the Limits series, if I 8had* to pick a favorite it would probably be Crash Into You. It was #3 in the series and I absolutely fell in love with Isaiah. Love him. In the Thunder Road series... wow. All three books are so good, but I have a soft spot for the first book. Loved Oz and Emily. But Razor from the second book was amazing. Gah! That's it... don't make me pick a favorite! LOL
