Final Thoughts [3]
Tales of Suspense (#100-104) by Matthew Rosenberg

Tales of Suspense (#100-104) by Matthew Rosenberg, Travel Foreman (Illustrator), Marco Checchetto (Illustrator)
Synopsis (via Goodreads): SPRINGING FROM THE PAGES OF SECRET EMPIRE! THE BLACK WIDOW is dead…but someone is killing her enemies. With a broken heart and a bloody trail to follow, HAWKEYE is looking for answers. And the only person alive who may have them is Natasha Romanoff's OTHER ex-boyfriend, THE WINTER SOLDIER. Can they trust each other long enough to unravel the web of mysteries that Black Widow left behind?

I finished this series last night and was pleasantly surprised! I wasn't sure which direction Rosenberg would take their story, but wow! I hate that it ended when it did, and I hope there is a continuation in the future. Tales of Suspense will leave you with quite a few questions, but the major plot has a resolution.

I really loved Hawkeye and Bucky together! They're an unlikely pair with very little in common, but they did love the same woman. That makes things even more interesting... Is Black Widow dead or alive? It's what everyone wants to know, especially these two.

It wasn't my favorite comic, but the story was enjoyable. The best part was the bantering between Bucky and Hawkeye! They have a love-to-hate-you relationship that was fun to read about. ๐Ÿคฃ

    1. The world always needs more Hawkeye! I've heard he isn't around much in the new Avengers movie, and that makes me incredibly sad.

  6. Give me all the Hawkeye/ Bucky togetherness lol. Love them as a team, and throw Natasha in- yes please! Did you ever red Black Widow Hunt? It was a few years ago but sounds similar- Widow went rogue and Bucky went after her, and Hawk, Wolverine and Captain America all helped too.

I love the cover for 102 cause all three are there.

    1. No, I haven't read that one! Is it good? I would love another Hawkeye/Winter Soldier mashup! Wolverine and Captain America, too?? That will make things interesting. I'm trying picture the four of them together, their personalities... I'm having a hard time picturing it! I'll look into it!

      #102 was my favorite!

(I really want a comic with Bucky and Clint in a relationship--fingers crossed!)

    2. It's pretty good, Winter Soldier has to go rogue and be "re-activated" as an assassin in order to rescue Nat- so naturally when Hawk goes after hi he finds out that Bucky is a badass in assassin mode! Wolvie comes to help and cap just shows up briefly- it's pretty good.

    3. I feel like Bucky is always being "re-activate," lol. Isn't there a way to retrain his brain? Have you read the Hawkeye/Deadpool mini series? I didn't know Hawkeye was supposed to be deaf! I think it's 5-6 issues, and it's HILARIOUS.

    4. I have not, and I had no idea Hawkeye was deaf!!!!!
