State of the ARC [6]

State of the ARC is a monthly meme hosted by Avalinah at Avalinah's Books! It's an opportunity for readers to catch up on their long overdue ARCs, but I use it to keep up with my upcoming ARCs instead. Shhh... don't tell!

At the end of November 2018:
You'd Be Mine by Erin Hahn
Paper Girl by Cindy R. Wilson
In Another Life by C.C. Hunter
The Gilded Wolves (The Gilded Wolves, #1) by Roshani Chokshi

White Stag (Permafrost, #1) by Kara Barbieri
Saving Meghan by D.J. Palmer
Once Upon A River by Diane Setterfield
The Last Woman in the Forest by Diane Les Becquets

In Another Life and The Last Woman in the Forest are the books I'm looking forward to the most! I really enjoyed my last C.C. Hunter book, and I love the synopsis for The Last Woman in the Forest. Honestly, I should probably read them in the order they're released, but where's the fun in that?

    1. I hope the story is as good as the synopsis! Gilded Wolves has been on my TBR for awhile now, but I have no idea what to expect going in. I read the blurb for it ages ago, and I've already forgotten what it said. ;)

  3. At first I thought these were all the ARCs you had to read, and I was like, "wow", but then I realized there are your upcoming. I don't know how it happened, but I have 21 Jan releases. I have read 3 already, so I am feeling good, but I have an itchy request finger for some I have seen recently. I hope you read the Hunter book soon. If you like it, I might download it. They sent me a widget and I was on the fence, because I am more of fluffy reader. Good luck with all these!

    1. Haha! These are the ARCs I have coming up, and I really hope I'm able to read them on time! We're in the middle of a move, so it's hard to find time to read. I wish I could read in the car without getting sick! I'd make Jacob do all the driving while I knocked out some books. We do love listening to audiobooks together, so that's nice.

You have twenty-one books for January? Phew! I don't think I could do it. This is what I currently have for December AND January. I'm glad you're feeling confident! I'll send happy reading thoughts your way. ;)

There are a lot of books I want to request, but I know I won't be able to read them right now, so I'm trying to resist. It's so hard to resist... I've really enjoyed C.C. Hunter's books in the past, and I was able to speak to her about this one at the Origin Event I went to, so I'm looking forward to it! My expectations might be a little high.

    1. I was hoping to start it sooner, but we're in the middle of a move and I haven't had a chance! I was going to read it right after Love a la Mode! <3

I'm a little concerned now, because you only described it as "pretty interesting" instead of with excessive exclamations and praise. ;)

    1. I never stay on a schedule or stick to a plan! My reading choices are totally random, and I love it. It really works for me!

  9. I can't believe it's almost 2019, I'm still reading review copies from as far back as April this year and being sent 2019 copies already! Looking forward to seeing what you think of In another Life. I receive an email about that one but unfortunately super snowed under trying finish as many 2018 titles as possible. I've really enjoyed her Shadow Falls series.

    1. It's so hard to stay on top of everything! I haven't been able to do anything on time since having kids, haha. Everything is late, or we're late! It's fun but very exhausting. However, I do really try to read my review copies ahead of time. Good luck with your 2018 reads! <3 I'll let you know what I think about In Another Life! I haven't read her Shadow Falls series, but I'll definitely check it out. :)

  10. I'm really curious about The Last Woman in the Forest. Serial killer books can often be fascinating. Hope it's a good one!
