Hello lovelies! It's been a few years since I did the Audiobook Challenge, but I think my first one was back in 2019! I can't believe how much time has passed. I've always enjoyed doing this challenge and seeing if I can beat my number from the previous year. I believe 50+ is what I went with the last time I did this challenge, but I think I'm going to drop it down to 20-30 this year to make it more manageable.
If you would like to sign up for your very own 2025 Audiobook Challenge, please visit Caffeinated Reviewer or That’s What I’m Talking About. All of the following information comes from Kimberly at the Caffeinated Reviewer.
Challenge Details
- Runs January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025. You can join at any time.
- The goal is to find a new love for audios or to outdo yourself by listening to more audios in 2025 than you did in 2024.
- Books must be in audio format (CD, MP3, etc.)
- All genres count.
- Re-reads and crossovers from other reading challenges are allowed.
- You do not have to be a book blogger to participate; you can track your progress on Goodreads, Facebook, etc. I recommend creating a shelf on Goodreads titled 2025 Audiobook Challenge. You can keep track and link the shelf.
- Grab the button and do a quick post about the challenge to help spread the word. You can post on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, BlueSky, Threads, Mastodon, your blog etc. about the challenge.
- Updates plus a giveaway will be posted twice during the year. The first update will be July 5, 2025, and the last update will take place on December 27, 2025. You’ll have one week to link up and share your progress and enter giveaway

- Newbie (I’ll give it a try) 1-5

Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm so glad to see so many of you are still blogging and continuing the challenges I loved to participate in. So many of the people I followed and interacted with have left or been inactive for several years.
DeleteGood luck to you. I don't listen to audiobooks because I read so much faster and can't multitask very well. lol
ReplyDeleteI need something to listen to while I do housework, drive, or take my dogs for walks. Audiobooks are convenient! It's also much easier to listen than it is to read in those scenarios. π
DeleteGood luck! I read quite a few via audio each year, though I've never thought to count them.
ReplyDeleteI just make a shelf on Goodreads for it! This year it's "audiobook challenge 2025." It keeps count for me. :)
DeleteI wish you the best. My audiobook count has been down, but I still did ok last year (64).
ReplyDelete64 is amazing! I didn't track it last year, but I don't think I've ever done more than 50 in a single year.
DeleteOh hi! Look at us blogging lol I'm so slow with audio but it's pretty much the only way I've been getting ANY reading done.
ReplyDeleteHi!! Look at us!! I'm glad to see you're still around in some capacity. It's good to see you!! Audiobooks have been my go-to lately as well, so I can multitask with other things, but I'm also really slow with it. I can't increase the speed or it sounds too weird. π
DeleteGood luck with this challenge too. I know someone else whose doing it and I may try out one of the lowest two categories. Maybe. I really need to try and get into audiobooks. I have a few hobbies where I could listen to them in the background if I got into them I think so that would be great. I keep putting off trying them out though π I hope you enjoy whichever books you listen to.
ReplyDeleteA good way to start is with a re-read of an old favorite! I do that sometimes when I don't want to focus too much on what's being said. I'll just choose something I've read before since I already know what happens and it won't matter if I miss something.
DeleteThat's a really good suggestion and makes a lot of sense. I'll have to see what favourites the library stocks but I'm sure they'll have a few. Thanks for the advice.
DeleteHave you tried Hoopla or Libby? They're apps you can download that use your library card. It makes it soooo much easier to get and listen to audiobooks!
DeleteNo I'll have to look into them, thanks for the advice. I did use BorrowBox once and found it easy enough to use. I just need to start giving them more of a chance.
DeleteHave fun and good luck. Looks like I listened to 53 audiobooks last year, and 5 already this year
ReplyDeleteSo many! That's amazing. :)
