I couldn't listen to audiobooks at first, but now I'm obsessed with them. I love how I can listen to them while I clean, and it just blocks everything else out. I leave one earpiece in, so I can hear the kids while they nap, and it's been wonderful for me. I totally get wanting your silence, though! It's really, really good! I had trouble getting into it a first, but that's because nothing was familiar. We can wait an entire week for a new episode, or a month for the next issue of a comic, and I have no trouble jumping back in and continuing the story. I feel like people read books differently, though. Maybe it is the need for a conclusion? I don't know. I like how reading multiple books at once draws out the experience for each one.
